We're looking for an animator to work on a 3D game using Unreal Engine 5. ENTHUSIASM!
Description
We need a specialist who is willing to learn or already able to work with both existing animations and create their own, and then correctly integrate them into a game project.
Responsibilities
- Select, adapt, and refine existing animations from Mixamo and other sources.
- Create custom animations for characters, monsters, and robots.
- Integrate animations into Unreal Engine 5.
- Configure Animation Blueprint, state machines, blend spaces, and related animation systems.
- Link animations to objects, weapons, props, and other scene elements.
- Monitor the quality of animation transitions and ensure they function correctly in-game.
- Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and 3D artists.
- Make adjustments as needed based on playtests and team feedback.
Expectations
- Experience with animation in games or interactive projects.
- Understanding of the basic principles of character animation.
- Ability to work with existing animations and adapt them to the task.
- Experience importing and customizing animations in Unreal Engine 5 is a plus.
- Knowledge of rigging/skinning principles is a plus.
- Understanding of Animation Blueprint, montages, blend spaces, and IK systems is a plus.
- Ability to work with characters, creatures, and mechanical models is a plus.
- Accuracy, technical literacy, and attention to detail are a plus.
